Paula Tanhuanpää began working for the IANPHI Secretariat at the National Public Health Institute, KTL in 2006. Her current responsibilities as Project Manager include development, planning and management of IANPHI grant program projects. She is directing grant projects in Tanzania, Ethiopia, Uganda, Guinea-Bissau, Afghanistan, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Ms. Tanhuanpää has gained versatile experience as project manager, coordinator and assistant in a range of international health sector development projects since 1996 when she started as a civil servant trainee at STAKES, National Research and Development Centre for Welfare and Health, unit for International Development Collaboration.

Ms. Tanhuanpää has Master of Science degree in health sciences and she is a Registered Nurse.
