IANPHI Summer School: Role and function of a Comprehensive National Public Health Institute

Aim of the course:
The aim of the course is to train public health professionals, experts and decision makers in the structure and functions of a comprehensive national public health institute.

Method:
Through presentations of different activities of KTL and of various IANPHI member institutes, the participants will discuss the role and function of a modern public health institute and what it can be in different countries. 

Target group:
Public health professionals and political leaders who are interested in the development of national public health institute and public health infrastructure in general in their countries.

Language:
Working language will be English. No interpretation to any other language provided.  

Organizers:
National Public Health Institute - KTL, Finland, and the International Association of National Public Health Institutes (IANPHI).

Programme

Deadline for applications is March 31, 2008.

Fees:
There is no course fee, but accommodation and travel are at participants' own cost.
Candidates from low- and lower-middle-income countries (World Bank list) can apply for grant that covers travel and accommodation.
