NPHI Grant Program
Over the past few decades, the investments of international donors have helped disease-focused programs in low-resource countries reduce the burden of many major health problems. However, few donors have provided funds directly to governments to strengthen their national public health systems. IANPHI is spearheading a grant program to improve public health systems in low-resource countries by strengthening and creating NPHIs.
IANPHI strengthens public health systems by strengthening existing NPHIs . IANPHI provides direct grant support to NPHIs to 1) increase the breadth and depth of their infrastructure and capacity to respond to public health challenges and opportunities, and 2) move them along the continuum toward a full complement of public health functions.
IANPHI strengthens public health systems by creating new NPHIs . IANPHI provides direct grant support to countries to establish new NPHIs through a model that promotes peer assistance, sustainability, and leveraging from other donors.
