Director of Bangladesh NPHI to serve in the Emergency Committee Concerning Events Relating to Poliomyelitis at the World Health Organization

IANPHI extends its warm congratulations to Professor Mahmudur Rahman, director of the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control, and Research (IEDCR) and National Influenza Center in Bangladesh, on his nomination to serve on the Emergency Committee Concerning Events relating to Poliomyelitis at the World Health Organization. This achievement is a great honor for the country of Bangladesh, and marks a milestone accomplishment for the country’s contribution to public health and disease control. Professor Rahman also serves as a member of the WHO DG's Emergency Committee on MERS CoV (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronary Virus).

A founding member of IANPHI and a longtime member of our executive board, Professor Rahman has made countless contributions to the global health community through his research and leadership, and IANPHI congratulates Professor Rahman for this achievement.
