Deadline Extended for Merle A. Sande Health Leadership Award

Do you know an outstanding emerging African leader in the field of infectious diseases?

The Merle A. Sande Health Leadership Award is given annually to an emerging African leader who has contributed to the field of infectious diseases and embodies Dr. Sande's passion, intellectual drive, and spirit. The successful candidate will be a young African leader with remarkable personal accomplishments in teaching, research, and/or clinical science.

The awardee will:
  • Receive an honorarium from Accordia Global Health Foundation
  • Attend and lead two days of rounds and lectures at the Infectious Diseases Institute at Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda
  • Deliver a keynote address at the Infectious Diseases Institute at Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda
