IANPHI 2010 Annual Meeting

IANPHI members and other invitees are encouraged to register for IANPHI’s 2010 Annual Meeting—this year set for October 31–November 2 in Atlanta, USA. Invitations to the yearly gathering were sent in May to directors of national public health institutes from more than 65 countries, plus representatives from partner organizations including the World Health Organization (WHO) and The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

The U.S. CDC and IANPHI will host the 2010 meeting at the Emory Conference Center Hotel, located just across from CDC’s main campus. One evening reception will be held at the CDC Visitors’ Center, location of the Global Health Odyssey Museum.  IANPHI members can view the preliminary agenda here.

A Regional Meeting for Africa is planned for the afternoon of Wednesday, November 3.  A highlight will be a workshop sponsored by CDC's Sustainable Management Development Program to facilitate targeted discussion of common interests and challenges related to NPHI leadership and management.  The gathering of members from African nations will conclude with an evening social event.

Because international visitors require pre-approval for access to the CDC campus well in advance of their visit, please submit detailed security information through the meeting registration form as soon as possible, but no later than September 1, 2010.
