Founded in 1924, the Institute of Public Health of the Republic of Macedonia has10 regional centers, and plays a significant role in Macedonia's pubic health. Public health experts from the insitute are repsonsible for surveillance, research and health promotion. Macedonia's Institute of Pubic Health defines priority issues and make policy decisions at the national, regional and local level.
With over 200 employees and hi-tech laboratories for testing of the quality of food, drugs and biological samples, the Insitute of Public Health works to improve Macedonia's:
